The original Revolution® 9 & 45 suppressors were the first pistol silencers introduced with a modular length feature set, setting the standard for modular pistol suppressors in the U.S. market. The Revolution® 9 MOD 4 represents a comprehensive redesign focused on improving user interaction, offering a more secure mounting system, simplified configuration, and extended maintenance intervals.
The forward extension enables tool-less length reconfiguration, while O-ring biased extension and front cap components help prevent unintentional loosening. The booster housing (mount interface) is permanently installed, ensuring that tightening or removing the suppressor does not affect the housing. This interface supports pistons, fixed barrel mounts, spacers, Griffin’s integrated 3-lug mount, and Plan A mounts.
Note: Attempting to remove the booster housing is not recommended and may damage internal threads. A variety of mounting interfaces are designed to work directly with the installed booster housing.
A key enhancement in the MOD 4 generation is the integration of patented CARBON-GARD™ baffle technology. Originally developed for the Checkmate HD suppressor, this system uses high-temperature silicone O-rings at each baffle interface, as well as at the end cap, blast chamber, and extension tubes. This fully seals gases and carbon within the baffle stack, preventing fouling buildup between the tube and baffles and eliminating the risk of the core becoming carbon-locked.
Revolution® MOD 4 suppressors include an EZ-LOK™ piston, providing a faster and more secure mounting solution compared to traditional direct thread systems. EZ-LOK™ barrel adapters are required (sold separately) to utilize this system. Regular inspection for tightness is recommended during use, especially with tilt-barrel pistols, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
