The Airborne Charging Handle (ACH®) was originally developed at the request of an elite organization known for its expertise in aerial insertion. Now adopted by USASOC and field tested in demanding environments, the USASOC ACH features a roll mark reading “Geissele Automatics” along with the ACH’s NSN number, reducing the need for laser engraving and minimizing visual signature.
The design retains its lower-profile levers to reduce the likelihood of snagging on gear. The handling surfaces are checkered to provide a secure grip when operating with gloves or in adverse conditions. A gas-mitigating fence at the rear helps redirect blowback when used with short-barreled or suppressed weapon systems.
The ambidextrous USASOC ACH is precision machined from a solid block of aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a durable Type III hardcoat anodizing. The USASOC ACH weighs approximately 1.42 oz.
