Product Description

The SureFire X300 Vampire A (officially X300V-A) is a dual-spectrum weapon-mounted light designed for users requiring both visible white light and invisible infrared (IR) illumination for use with night vision devices.  

Key Specifications & Performance 

White Light Output: 350 lumens. 

Infrared (IR) Output: 120 milliwatts (860 nm), completely invisible to the naked eye. 

Runtime: Approximately 2.5 hours for white light and up to 16.75–225 hours for IR, depending on the specific model generation and usage. 

Battery Type: Powered by two CR123A lithium batteries. 

Lens: Uses a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens that creates a focused beam with ample surround light for peripheral vision.  

The "A" Mounting System 

The "A" variant specifically refers to SureFire’s Rail-Lock® system:  

Design: Uses a spring-loaded cross-bolt and locking tabs rather than a thumbscrew. 

Best Use: Generally preferred for polymer-framed handguns (like Glocks) because it avoids the risk of overtightening, which can flex a polymer frame and cause reliability issues. 

Versatility: Compatible with both Universal and MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rails.  

Operation 

Mode Switching: Features a knurled, self-locking bezel selector. Users simply push and twist the head to toggle between white light, IR, and an "off" setting. 

Activation: Includes ambidextrous toggle switches. Press forward for momentary-on, or flip up/down for constant-on. 

Construction: Built from high-strength aerospace aluminum with Mil-Spec hard-anodized finish and O-ring sealing for weather resistance.
