The original Concealable Sniper Rifle (CSR) was developed at the request of a U.S. Special Operations Command (USASOC) unit for a compact, accurate rifle that could be broken down and transported in a backpack. The "Next Generation" (NGSS) version is a current commercial offering from Surgeon Rifles.  

Caliber- The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge is specifically designed for long-range target shooting, capable of remaining supersonic and accurate past 1,150 yards. It is a popular caliber with military special operations forces for its superior ballistic coefficients and reduced wind drift compared to older rounds like the .308 Winchester. 

Design- The rifle is built around the highly regarded Surgeon 591 short action and is designed for modularity, allowing for barrel changes and customization.
