Product Description

The Roll 1™ Trauma Pouch is a Dangler®-style pouch designed to store Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) contents while enabling rapid deployment in emergencies. The concept for the Roll 1™ Trauma Pouch is credited to Forward Observations Group, who originally designed and fabricated the prototype pouch for fellow SOF personnel in Syria. The design was later refined in collaboration with Ferro Concepts to incorporate their signature enhancements and bring the pouch to a wider audience.

The Roll 1™ is intended to be worn within the opening of a rear body armor plate pocket, utilizing otherwise unused space, remaining unobtrusive, and providing added lumbar support during extended vehicle operations in full kit. Its open-ended, ambidextrous outer pouch allows access from either side of the casualty when trauma care is required. By pulling the left or right deployment tab, the insert can be quickly extracted to access IFAK contents. The Roll 1™ can also be mounted to the front of a plate carrier, battle belt, or any platform featuring a sufficiently large hook-and-loop Velcro interface. The system includes both the outer pouch and insert pouch, while trauma kits and IFAK contents are sold separately.

The name Roll 1™ references medical levels of care terminology: Role 1 (Echelon 1) denotes tactical-level medical support providing immediate lifesaving care, first aid, and triage. Role 2 represents a higher level of medical support where Role 1 typically transfers patients for MEDEVAC, while Roles 3 and 4 encompass advanced surgical capabilities and long-term definitive care.
